REMAPPING MEMORY

London, 2019

It sometimes seems as if all the world is on the move

 John Urry, 2007

Remapping memory is the visual outcome inspired by diverse books and papers by authors like Urry, Morley, Diminescu and many more, about  new mobility paradigms in the contemporary world, the increased cross-border transactions and theories of fluidity of people crossing digital and physical boundaries. We are constantly remapping our memory thanks to mobile devices, social media and new communication systems which have enhanced another way to experience life and proximity between people.

Every time we use our mobiles we create and recreate our reality and our visual memory, personally and collectively. We are in a constant process of shaping who we are, where do we go and how do we share our information with people around the globe.
